    Bicycle Bell-ero Performance

The Stables / IF: Milton Keynes International Festival

Sunday 22 July, Cycling from 2pm, Performance at MK Rose, 3pm

Bicycle bells become musical instruments, cyclists become musicians, musicians become cyclists…

Cycling and music come together in this unique collaboration between composer Craig McLeish and dozens of cyclists who have swapped their regular cycle bell for a uniquely crafted musical one made from a repurposed instrument.

The specially tuned bells will be played as cyclists travel routes and Redways around Campbell Park, culminating in a full performance of a brand new short piece of music for massed cycle bells, at the MK Rose.

Bicycle Bell-ero is open to families, individual cyclists, cycle clubs and anyone interested in using pedal power to get out and about. It will encourage people to be part of a new music experience, explore Milton Keynes by pedal power and change the city’s soundscapes.
